Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how KwikPush ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores and protects information when a merchant installs our app on their Shopify store, and when shoppers interact with web push notifications powered by KwikPush.

1. Who we are

KwikPush is a web push notification application for Shopify stores. It lets merchants send browser notifications to shoppers who have opted in, and helps recover abandoned carts, send back-in-stock and discount alerts, run campaigns, and measure results.

2. Information we collect

From merchants (store owners):

From shoppers (store visitors):

We do not ask shoppers for their name, email address or phone number to subscribe to web push notifications.

3. How we use information

4. How information is stored and protected

Data is stored using Google Firebase (Firestore), with access restricted to our backend services. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Database rules deny direct client access; only our authenticated backend can read or write data. We retain data only for as long as it is needed to provide the service.

5. Sharing of information

We do not sell personal information. We share data only with the service providers required to run the app — for example, Google Firebase (data storage) and Firebase Cloud Messaging / browser push services (to deliver notifications). These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy obligations.

6. Shopper choices

7. Merchant choices and data deletion

Merchants can uninstall KwikPush from their Shopify admin at any time. When the app is uninstalled, or upon a valid deletion request, associated store and subscriber data is deleted in line with Shopify's mandatory data-protection webhooks (customer data request, customer redact, and shop redact).

8. Data retention

We keep merchant and subscriber data while the app is installed and in use. After uninstall or a redaction request, data is removed within the timeframe required by Shopify's compliance requirements.

9. Where your data is stored and transferred

KwikPush uses Google Firebase, which may store and process data on servers located in the United States and other regions where Google operates. By using the app, you understand that data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your own, including outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where such transfers occur, we rely on the safeguards provided by our infrastructure providers, such as standard contractual clauses and equivalent protections.

10. Your rights and how to exercise them

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Merchants can uninstall the app at any time to stop data processing. Shoppers can unsubscribe from notifications at any time. To make any data request, contact us at the email below, or ask the store you interacted with to submit the request through Shopify. We respond to valid requests within the timeframe required by applicable law and by Shopify's compliance webhooks.

11. Children's privacy

KwikPush is a business tool intended for store owners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.

13. Contact us
